A
absolute estimate An estimate consisting of explicit quantities of units (for example, “The prototype will take 120 hours to complete”).
activity network diagram A chart produced from the WBS that shows individual tasks and their dependencies (that is, a sequence of activities of the project and how they are related).
actual cost (AC) A numeric expression of value defined as the cumulative sum of the costs incurred while actually accomplishing the work. It is the total of all costs incurred to date as the project proceeds.
adaptive development approach An approach taken when requirements are subject to a high level of uncertainty and volatility and are likely to change throughout a project.
