It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

There is no single solution that will make you the world's best programmer. Believe me, if there were, I would have already told you about it. Right after I sold you some nice development land in Florida and a nice (but slightly rusty) bridge in New York.... To take up the craft of programmer is to devote your life to improving your ability, and that of your colleagues, to create quality software. In this Short Cut, I have shown you how to use three of the best tools available for Java: PMD, FindBugs, and PathFinder. The rest is up to you.
