I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Sind Sie Wissenschaftler oder Künstler? Ingenieur oder Kunsthandwerker? Gärtner oder Chefkoch? Dichter oder Architekt?
Sind Sie Programmierer oder Softwareentwickler? Wenn ja, was sind Sie dann?
Meine Antwort auf diese Frage lautet: Nichts von alldem.
Ich würde mich selbst zwar als Programmierer bezeichnen, fühle mich aber allen genannten Gruppen ein wenig zugehörig – und doch auch wieder nicht.
Fragen wie diese sind wichtig. Die Branche der Softwareentwicklung ist rund 70 Jahre alt, und wir grübeln immer noch darüber nach. Ein hartnäckiges Problem ist, wie wir darüber denken. Deshalb stellen sich diese Fragen. Gleicht die Softwareentwicklung dem Bau eines Hauses? Oder dem Verfassen eines Gedichts?
