Analysis of Complex
Networks
4.1 Introduction
We have seen that graphs can be conveniently used to model complex networks.
Our next step would be the investigation of whether we can obtain some properties
of complex networks using their graph representations. Before starting with this in-
vestigation, determination of what properties to search would probably be a good
starting point. We may want to know which nodes of the complex network are more
important than others, or on a larger scale, which groups of nodes are more closely
related to each other than to the rest of the network such as a social network. It may
