Rosetta Stone for Windows Operating Systems
During my time as a Unix system administrator, supporting a large variety of different operating systems, I found a website that was particularly helpful—it was the Rosetta Stone for Unix (http://bhami.com/rosetta.html), and it listed in a table layout how to do common system administrator tasks across some of the various flavors of Unix. I’ve often wished for something similar for the different versions of Windows. So here is a quick table that shows where common artifacts can be found among the various end-user flavors of Windows.
