I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Initial configuration
No matter which installation you choose, the first start of Jenkins requires a few configuration steps. Let's walk through them step by step:
- Open Jenkins in the browser: http://localhost:49001 (for binary installations, the default port is 8080).
- Jenkins should ask for the administrator password. It can be found in the Jenkins logs:
$ docker logs jenkins ... Jenkins initial setup is required. An admin user has been created and a password generated. Please use the following password to proceed to installation: c50508effc6843a1a7b06f6491ed0ca6 ...
- After accepting the initial password, Jenkins asks whether to install the suggested plugins, which are adjusted to the most common use cases. Your answer depends, of course, ...
