To mathematicians, the number 42 is most unusual: it is a ‘prionic' number (the product of two consecutive numbers, 6 × 7), an ‘abundant' number (when you add together all of the whole numbers by which 42 is divisible, you get a number more than 42 itself). The number 42 is also a primary superperfect, a stormer, a harshad and self number, a Catalan number, a pentadecagonal and a meandric number. (Yes, this is all a bit beyond me, too.)
