About the Second Edition
Wow, a lot has changed in the years since I wrote the first edition of this book, which I started in 2008 and finished in 2009. In the past few years, I’ve written two more books and, while I was doing that, a lot in the blogging and social media world has changed—and for the better, I think.
This new edition isn’t a complete rewrite of the first edition, but it’s pretty close to it. Chapters 1–4 have been updated with current examples and the current state of technology. For example, TypePad isn’t a major player, but new services like Tumblr and Posterous have made serious headway.
