Part I. The Basics
Before you can create the totally awesome, cool, and useful animations that you want to create, we need to start at the beginning and cover the basics. We need to get a good feel for the building blocks you have at your disposal, not only for creating animations, but for creating animations that run really well. That sounds complicated, but as you will find out shortly, it’s all pretty straightforward…for the most part. :P
In the following chapters, we are going to start at the very beginning and quickly ramp up to the important things you will need to learn and be aware of. That will set you up nicely for the rest of the book where we start applying everything we learned toward creating the animations that bring our UIs to life.
