About the Contributors
Michael J. Allan is a partner in the Washington and New York offices of Steptoe & Johnson LLP. Mike has a broad intellectual property practice that includes the prosecution and defense of trademark, copyright, unfair competition, false advertising, patent, and trade secret claims. He also counsels clients on due diligence reviews and intellectual property licensing and transfer agreements. Mike works with clients in a variety of industries including manufacturing, automotive, fashion, entertainment, heath care, pharmaceutical, and financial services.
Todd Anderson has been with Dealflow since 2007 and is a key member of Dealflow's research staff that produces biweekly newsletters focused on open and active fundraisings. His role includes analyzing SEC documents related to companies raising capital and curating deals from online funding portals. He has led Dealflow's crowdfunding strategy, including organizing the Crowdfunding Conference and the Crowdfunding Directory products. He has an in depth knowledge of the JOBS Act and tracks regulatory and legal trends as they impact financial markets. He holds a bachelor of fine arts degree in communication arts from the New York Institute of Technology.
