This appendix contains the guiding principles of data integration that were referenced throughout the book.
There is a reason why source system owners are so cranky. It is often the result of requests for multiple extracts from their source systems for the same data. One of the major issues in terms of cost and maintenance data integration is the number of uncontrolled, undocumented, and duplicative data integration extraction routines for the same data.
