Accountability principle: A principle of data protection that requires controllers of personal data to be able to prove their compliance with the law. See GDPR A.5.2.
Adequacy: For the purposes of transfers of personal data from the GDPR land mass to third countries, the GDPR permits these transfers without restriction if an adequacy decision has been adopted in respect of the country to which the data are transferred. See GDPR A.45.
