Like any other array, we can also have an array of pointers. Each element of such an array can point to a
data item such as variable, array etc. For example, consider the declaration given below:
float *x [20];
This declaration means that x is an array of 20 el-
ements and each element is a pointer to a variable of
type float. Let us now construct an array of pointers
to strings.
char *item [ ]{ Chair,
Table,
Stool,
Desk,
};
The above declaration gives an array of pointers
called item. Each element of item points to a string as
