Introduction

Recreational drones began life as a new, fun way to fly model aircraft. Radio-controlled airplanes fascinated early flyers simply from the ability to send a heavier-than-air flying machine skyward and conduct aerial maneuvers that tested the skills and imagination of the Earth-bound pilot.
