So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Applications represent the interface to the database, and as a DB2 Database administrator, you may have to provide support to developers when they write applications that access the database. DB2 does not have its own programming language. Instead, it allows data to be manipulated using interfaces that pass SQL statements. It also provides an Application Programming Interface for managing and administering the database.
