We wrote this book to familiarize people with the use and operation of decision trees in a range of data analysis and data consumption tasks and situations.

Prerequisites
There are minimal prerequisites to use this book productively. We offer many illustrations and explanations of decision tree operation ranging from the very simple to the reasonably advanced. Very little formal mathematical notation is used; instead, general-purpose, high-school level English is used in all our descriptions and explanations.
