I thank all the individuals and organizations with whom I’ve conversed and dialogued about design and sustainability over the last decade, as without them this book could not have emerged. In particular, I am very grateful to the designers and other professionals who generously gave permission to use images, illustrations and other materials, all of which help bring the topic of design activism to life.
