Objectives

To conduct benchmarking of competitor vehicles with the target vehicle for the project work
To understand development of product specifications through the application of the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) to the selected vehicle chunk (or system)
To develop specifications of the target vehicle.

Procedure

Select a reference vehicle (for your target vehicle to be studied/developed for Projects #2 to #7). The reference vehicle must be preferably a recent model year vehicle (2011–2012). (Note: each student working in a team must select a target vehicle that has a different body style or brand but can still share many systems across the vehicle family.) ...
