So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

We have discussed the various aspects of putting together a cloud application and now can discuss how to manage an application as part of a business. Not only do you want to run on the cloud for small systems, but you also want to be able to scale up to large systems with a minimum of system administration. That means you need to think about automating everything you do. You can automate some activities through image customization. For example, you can set up the right firewall rules before the image is saved so that you do not have to repeat it with every server you add.
