QoS Metrics for Web Services
QoS metrics are a set of qualitative measures of how appealing a Web service is for applications that may potentially consume it. QoS answers a set of “How?” questions, as listed in Table 9-1.
Availability | How often is the service available for consumption? |
Accessibility | How capable is the Web service of serving a client'' request now? |
Performance | How long does it take for the service to respond? |
Compliance | How fully does the service comply with stated standards? |
Security | How safe and secure is it to interact with this service? |
