Alias

An Alias is an abstraction introduced as part of the Windows XP command line tool WMIC. It provides simplified keywords, or Aliases, in place of more complex queries that retrieve and format information from the CIM repository. Using an Alias makes it easier to specify a complex query from the command line.

Association

An association is a special management class that illustrates the relationships that exist between management objects.
