I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
8. Packing Your Toolkit
The phenomenal popularity of blogging is often chalked up to egotism, voyeurism, or even idealism, but the truth is that none of these traits is new. What’s new is the ease with which we can now exercise those egos and ideals. We open a web browser to a blog authoring page, compose an entry, post it with a quick click of the Submit button, and voilà, we’re publishers on an international scale.
It sounds simple, and it is. Or at least it can be. Choosing your software tools from among the many dozens available can be frustrating. At the time of this writing, the Yahoo Directory links to 85 options for blog authoring software. Veteran blogger Robin Good lists 167 search sites to which you may submit your blog. And Emily ...
