Appendix A. Overview of the Catalog of Domain-Driven Refactorings

On his website, https://hschwentner.io/domain-driven-refactorings, Henning lists the refactorings that help with Domain-Driven Transformation in an ever-growing catalog. For quick reference, we have collected an excerpt from that catalog with the refactorings that are referenced in this book.

The catalog is divided into four categories (and in this book four appendices):

Strategic refactorings (Appendix B): Help with splitting a monolithic architecture into bounded contexts.
Tactical refactorings that support strategic refactorings (Appendix C): The smaller steps that the strategic refactorings are built from.
Sociotechnical refactorings (Appendix D): Reorganize the teams. This is often enabled by and/or accompanies strategic refactorings.
Tactical refactorings that strengthen domain knowledge (Appendix E): Change the inner implementation of a bounded context.
