This appendix contains all acronyms defined in this textbook. Tables A.1 and A.2 repeat earlier tables that define abbreviations for large numbers (Table 5.1) and top-level domain name acronyms (Table 12.1), respectively.
If we append a lowercase “i” to a large number abbreviation, it represents the corresponding power of two. For example:
220 bytes = 1 MiB
230 bytes = 1 GiB
The right-hand column indicates the chapter in which each acronym was introduced.
