Engineering a Presentation

In Chapter 1 we made three claims: (1) technical presentation is challenging, (2) you’re going to need to do it, and (3) you should learn to do it well. The rest of the book is concerned with doing it well. We also suggested you view technical presentations as projects that can be tackled using the same engineering design principles you have become accustomed to and comfortable with. As we probably needn’t remind you, these principles have been wildly successful, producing space shuttles, nuclear power plants, and global positioning systems.
