Part VI is all about automating routine operations to make your use of the program more efficient. Here, you are introduced to the process of recording sequences of procedures you routinely follow in your Excel worksheets as macros that the program then plays back time and time again in your spreadsheets much more quickly than you can ever hope to do by hand, and without the slightest deviation. You're also introduced to editing macros with Excel's Visual Basic Editor and using the Visual Basic for Applications programming language to extend their functionality.
