Access, as a Data Quality Dimension, refers to the ability to control how authorized users can view, modify, use, or otherwise process data and information. It is often summed up as enabling the right individuals to access the right resources, at the right times, under the right circumstances. The term can refer to a discipline, set of tools, processes, practices, or a combination. Access Management (AM) is sometimes referred to as Access Control, Identity and Access Management (IAM), or Identity and Access Governance (IAG).
