The federal government’s use of the Federal Supply Schedule Program has increased considerably within the last ten years. This is because the amount of commercial supplies and services provided by the program has increased and because the program simplifies obtaining commercial items and price discounts and reductions for customers. Despite the program’s growing popularity, some agencies still do not take advantage of the price discounts and reductions that are permitted by regulation.
