Creating a Suite of Financial Reports
In the previous chapter, we explained how to add inventory data to your financial model. In that chapter and throughout, we've been adding visuals to our model to view our data, although we've done very little to format the visuals or consider how the visuals become an overall report for our users. In this chapter, we will focus on some best practices for building compelling visuals in Power BI.
By the end of this chapter, you will do the following:
- Understand the need for good report design
- Appreciate why responsiveness matters
- Be confident in designing reports to user specifications
- Understand how to use different visuals for different use cases
