So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Specifying a cluster manager
There are other options you can pass in as well, for example, --master yarn will tell spark-submit explicitly to run on a YARN cluster, but EMR actually sets that up for us by default. However, if you're running on your own cluster, you might need to pass that in by hand.
