It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Nothing is more vital than the images you capture. Losing data can mean a ruined project and even a lost client. Your objective is not only to capture great images, but also to safely store those digital files so they can be archived and post processed.
So how is video different? Well, you have a whole lot more data to worry about. Many photographers have enough memory cards to allow them to shoot for several days at a time.
