It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 5 Hardware Cost Optimization
Industrial embedded system is usually cost-sensitive, and reducing system hardware costs can lead to higher profits. The functional safety requirements must be satisfied according to functional safety standards. In this chapter, we propose two hardware cost optimization approaches. The first approach presents the progressive hardware cost optimization (PHCO), enhanced PHCO (EPHCO), and simplified EPHCO (SEPHCO) algorithms step by step for a parallel application while satisfying the functional safety requirements.
