Even being pack animals, as humans are, the need and desire to be alone is often very strong. How many times have you asked a co-worker what they’re doing for a night or weekend and heard, “I’m just going home and shutting the door”? This is a completely natural impulse, and like the craving for a specific type of food, is at times an absolute necessity.
