Pre-requisite for API calls

You, as a user, will need to register for an API key and this can be done by following the steps as shown here:

  1. Go to the following URL and register for a free account: https://developers.giphy.com
  2. Once you are done creating an account, create an app by clicking on the Create New App button at the top, as follows:

  1. Once you are done creating the app, you will be dropped onto a dashboard page where you can see your registered apps along with the API key required, as shown in the following screenshot:
