This bibliography includes general books on aerodynamics or fluid mechanics as well as handbooks on gas dynamics, in which the reader will find more detailed and specialized information on the subject. Here are also cited publications, whose information helped writing the present book or from where certain points have been mentioned but not developed in further detail. It is the case of the boundary layer, which is mentioned many times with regard to viscous effects, and of the numerical approach, which we have mainly used to illustrate some of the theoretical developments.
