So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
The easing function
An animation is a change over time. This change can be applied in many ways. The function that determines the new value over time is known as an easing function.
Why do we use easing functions instead of linear easing? The common example I like is a drawer opening. When you open a drawer in the real world, is it a linear process? Perhaps not.
Now let's look at the common easing functions. There are a few. Choose the one that fits your application:
