So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Business application layers example
We use the layers architectural pattern to isolate functionality. When an event or request is initiated in one layer, one of three things can occur:
- The request is passed to the next layer
- The request is processed and then passed to the next layer
- The request is processed and then closed without being passed to the next layer
The following screenshot shows how each layer has one or more components and has the ability to close requests so they are not unnecessarily passed to additional layers:
