I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Duplicating layers
In After Effects duplicating your layers will create an exact copy of your layers and any keyframes and effects you have on them. To duplicate your layer:
First select the layer. Duplicating your latest layer:
- Select the layer
- Ctrl + D or command + D for macOS
- To change the setting for your solid layer—Shift + Ctrl + Y. Shift + command + Y for macOS
Your shortcut maybe different if you have a macOS. Refer to tab at the to right of the After Effects panels | Help | Keyboard Shortcuts...:
