So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
2D torus
All the processors are in a 2D torus arrangement, as shown in the following diagram:
This arrangement will have the following values for the diameter and bisection bandwidth:
- Diameter = sqrt( n ), where n is the number of processors
- Bisection bandwidth = 2 * sqrt(n)
