Chapter 3. Agentic Applications
Now that we have set up the foundations, we can build our first functionalities for our project. Our first step in doing that is to decide which agentic framework, if any, we should use for our project. This is an important first step, since this will determine many aspects of our framework. This can influence what other ecosystems we look to for additional functionality of deployment.
Choosing a framework
When selecting a framework, it is important to explore what the community thinks of each. Such aggregate opinions tend to have some truth to them. However, when looking at opinions of the community, take them with a pinch of salt, as their project and their approaches may differ from yours. You should look for specific technical opinions, for example “this framework is good for implementing search related agents”, as opposed to general judgment opinions, e.g. “This is a stupid framework.”
