So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Getting the version via JavaScript and CSS files
Another way of finding the version number is to view the source code of the following files. The following files request the JS and CSS files:
- wp-admin/install.php
- wp-admin/upgrade.php
- wp-login.php
These disclose the exact version number in their ver parameter, as shown in the following screenshot:
