My Favorite HDR Programs

After years of working with different HDR programs, I have narrowed down my favorites to Photomatix Pro and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and its new Photo Merge capability. Both programs are easy to use and create very lifelike results. Each also has its pitfalls. I choose the program that best fits the image type and desired results. In this chapter, I demonstrate the pros and cons of each program and provide step-by-step directions for creating dynamic and realistic photographs.
