Appendix A. Base Installation
All the recipes in this book were completed by starting with a base OS installation shown in the following kickstart file. The same outcome could be achieved by following the Anaconda installer and adding the additional packages, but there are some things that must be done at installation time. For example, if you "click through" the installer without thinking you will create a single-volume group with a root logical volume that uses all the spare space. This will prevent you from using LVM snapshots in future without adding an additional storage device, which can be a massive pain.
