When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Which formats to shoot on?
The problem, as I see it, is there are a bewildering number of decisions to be made and they MUST be made before you start shooting or there is a very strong probability you will inherit some terrible problems when you get into post-production.
Things have changed since the introduction of HDCAM in the year 2000. Prior to that the choices were very simple, if you were going to shoot on film there was really only a choice between two formats, were you going to shoot on 35mm or 16mm? All the other decisions for many of the HODs (Heads of Departments) on the production would fall into line quite simply once that decision was announced. If you were shooting on Digi Beta, were you working in an NTSC environment or a PAL ...
