Greenstone is introduced briefly in Chapter 1: Section 1.7 reviews its features to help convey the requirements for digital library software. Virtually all the user interfaces in Chapter 3 show actual Greenstone collections. In Chapters 4, 5 and 6 we encounter various document, multimedia, and metadata formats, almost all of which the software supports.
