Chapter 8. Creating Styles

Once you have the basic structure of your page laid out you can begin to format that content by applying styles. While you can theoretically use different kinds of style sheets, CSS is the current standard. This chapter explains how to create CSS style rules and how to apply them to selected elements.

In Chapter 9, Applying Styles, you’ll learn how to organize a collection of style rules in a style sheet and then associate them with one or more (X)HTML pages.
