11. Future Features
Although this is the final chapter in the book, it is by no means the final chapter with regards to HTML5 and multimedia. You’ve learned about many HTML5 audio and video features, but other specifications are currently being developed that contain some new related functionality that will be of great benefit once they are finished and browser vendors begin to implement them.
This chapter briefly discusses some of these specifications and their content. Although they are not strictly part of HTML5, they do contain functionality that will enhance existing HTML5 features.
