It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 8. Macros
In this chapter, we will cover the following:

- Using prompt macros in native SQL
- Making prompts optional
- Adding a token macro
- Using prompt and PromptMany macros in query subjects
- Showing the prompts in a report based on security

Introduction
This chapter will introduce you to an interesting and useful tool of Cognos BI, called 'macros'. They can be used in Framework Manager as well as Report Studio. In this book, we are not covering Framework Manager, hence I will restrict myself to the use of macros in Report Studio.
