Customizing application behavior using registry variables
DB2 provides many registry variables that can affect the database environment. If configured properly, they can have a significant impact on application performance. All registry variables are effective at instance level, which means they will affect all databases in a given instance. In this recipe, we will discuss some registry variables which are relevant from an application-behavior perspective. Most of the time, application developers do not have permissions to change any registry variable, but we should know what impact they can have on the way an application behaves.
