Conclusions

The analyses presented in the previous chapters that were conducted based on the existing literature highlight an interesting picture regarding the changes taking place in companies following intense technological innovation. The Fourth Industrial Revolution affects the human resources of a company in terms of roles and skills in addition affecting the value chain and the ways in which production is organized. Consequently, to improve production efficiency and product quality, new business models must be designed to systematize the opportunities that are offered by Industry 4.0 and allow companies to capitalize on innovation to gain a competitive advantage.
